Cycling is cooperation between the cyclist and cycling. The output Polar W.I.N.D. (2.4 GHz), compatible with the computer Polar CS600 Cycling, contains different measuring features providing information on how the cyclist works with the bike and allows the rider to adjust the exercise intensity. The output Polar W.I.N.D. gives all the information in a single device. It combines the monitoring of heart rate and power measurement.
In collaboration with the Polar CS600, the Power Output Sensor WIND measures, the actual values of the average and maximum power. With the power sensor output W.I.N.D. you can analyze the L / R balance (balance between left and right foot) and pedaling Index (shows how evenly power is distributed during one crank rotation). The output of the sensor W.I.N.D. also measures cycling speed, distance and pace. You can easily download the data to the software Polar ProTrainer 5 vocational training for later analysis.
All the driving force of the bike is only transmitted by the chain, allowing the Polar Power Output WIND to calculate watts with precision. The sensor on the rear pulley works magnetically and measures the speed of the chain. The sensor stays in channel (power sensor) calculates the tension of the chain by measuring the vibration as the chain passes over the sensor. The output Polar W.I.N.D. also has a cadence sensor. The information is then transmitted to the computer Polar CS600 cycling, which is riding a bike mount on the handlebars.
Polar Power Output Sensor W.I.N.D. is easy to install. It is suitable only for road bikes, ridden on tarmac. It is not appropriate for mountain bikes or bikes with very complex back forks.
How helps Output bike?
With training for it can give much more precision than heart rate and perceived exertion. Electricity meters also have a number of other uses, including working on bike position and determining efficiency at different cadences.
FAQ
How does it measure power?
The output of the sensor W.I.N.D. measure the direct power of the chain, unlike other models that use the crank or hub. This system combines the precision of measurements of two main factors:
The tension of the chain - using a sensor on the chain stay
Chain speed - using a sensor on the rear pulley
How fast is the Set-Up?
It could not be easier. All you have to do is to enter - once, when creating the unit - a set of key factors: chain length, chain weight and length between the bottom bracket and axles rear wheels. And then you leave. Or, you may use the default settings to get started (Chain weight 304 g and length 1473 cm and length of range 420 mm). Precision Pedal Power - every time!
Does chain Slap affect the results?
No, because the string is taut as you pedal, the power measurement is not affected by the SLAP chain. The only time excessive chain slap occurs is when you're not pedaling - and no power is generated.
What About Pedaling Index?
Together, the bike computer Polar CS600 and Polar WIND power to track your pedal improve their technique in real time by measuring two indexes, L / R balance and pedaling index.
L / R Balance
L / R balance is an index of energy balance of production between the blows left and right that are rotated. Computer Polar CS600 Cycling then compares the maximum power produced during the course of the left against the peak produced during the forehand. If you push hard on the right, the L / R balance will be skewed on the right side (eg 37 L, 63 R). The Polar CS600 display information helps you achieve a balance between each push and avoid premature fatigue in the legs, which helps improve the efficiency of each pedal rotation.
Pedaling index
Pedaling index (PI) measures the regularity of the power output throughout each pedal rotation by comparing your power output at its minimum and maximum level. A higher PI score shows that your power was produced more evenly throughout the pedal rotation - so your peak power for a rotation will be lower, even though your average power remains the same.
How well does this indexing system Pedaling?
A pedal stroke generates peak power as the foot pedal. In a rotation, there are two power peaks: the first as you push down with right foot and pull with the left and the second when you push down with left foot and shoot with the right. In between, your power is diminished. The output of the sensor W.I.N.D. measures the maximum and minimum power and calculates your L / R balance and pedaling index, using a cadence sensor on the right pedal to mark the right side.
How effective are New Bike?
Cycling efficiency is your energy expenditure converted into power, that propels the bike forward. Improving the efficiency of cycling indicates improved economy of cycling performance.
Why Polar WIND power?
No platform, wheel or crank change: The system measures power direct from the chain - no need to change hubs, wheels or cranks unlike other models.
Fair price for the whole system: The Polar WIND power option for the computer Polar CS600 Cycling is an additional module, separate from the bicycle computer itself. An athlete who already has the Polar CS600 with its many bike computer adds a whole new series with power, cadence, cycling efficiency, L / R balance and pedaling index. The ability to gradually buy this meter is one of its main advantages. It is also possible to buy a complete package including computer Polar CS600 Cycling and Power Sensor WIND
Polar - the lightweight choice: The Polar CS600 cycling computer and sensors bike weighs only 275 grams when installed
